Medical students

In our practice, medical students work as hostess or hosts behind the counter. In addition, they have been trained by the doctors and doctor’s assistants to perform simple medical tasks such as injections, cleaning ears, treatment of warts, measuring blood pressure, glucose and Hb and checking urine. They have been trained to take blood samples (venapuncture) and to answer the phone as a doctor’s assistant (telephone triage). They, like all other practice employees, have a professional secrecy about the content of all patient contacts and files.
